SWITCHING ESSENTIALS course introduces students to the equipment, applications, and protocols in a small, switched networks. The course provides knowledge on Inter-VLAN dynamic routing protocols which includes VLSM, VLANs and Dynamic Trunking Protocol (DTP). Students also learn about the Spanning Tree Protocol and link aggregation concepts through the introduction of EtherChannel. Students’ skills are developed through hands-on exercises in the laboratory on configuration, installation and troubleshooting a network.
